The European Commission has this week published the 2018-2020 draft calls for proposals in the targeting innovation enabling secure, clean and efficient energy. The publication of the energy programme follows the recent release of the transport and advanced materials and advanced manufacturing draft funding calls.

The energy work programme will support research, demonstration, innovation and market-uptake actions across different low-carbon energy sectors. Up to €2.2Bn is expected to be invested over the next three years. Innovators with solutions targeting the following energy challenges in renewable energy, and smart energy systems, energy efficiency, and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) can apply for grant funding.
