Erin Synk

As Vice President of State Affairs, Erin designs and executes government relations strategies for clients to address their policy, appropriation, and regulatory goals in Ohio and across multiple states.

Erin leverages her background in policy and legislative processes to drive client outcomes by engaging state law makers, agency leaders and local officials on a wide range of client concerns.

Recently, Erin has worked with clients to pass legislation addressing municipal taxation, land banking, and workforce programming. Erin has secured over $30 million of operational earmarks and $10 million of capital funding from the State of Ohio for projects ranging from community road and parks projects to university research and development. In addition, she has worked to secure economic development incentives in excess of $100 million.

Prior to joining LNE Group, Erin was a Policy Analyst for the Office of the Speaker in the Ohio House of Representatives. While in the House, she specialized in the areas of education, healthcare, consumer affairs, and state budgeting processes. Erin maintains strong relationships with legislators and staff in the Ohio House Senate, and numerous state agencies. She utilizes her extensive experience with public policy and the Ohio State budget to influence legislation and affect policy.

Erin earned a BFA from the Ohio State University in dance performance and choreography in 2005. She also received a minor in business management and administration. While completing her undergraduate studies, Erin spent a semester at the University of Limerick, Ireland.

Erin resides in Columbus where she is a dedicated community leader serving on numerous City committees and commissions. Erin is an enthusiastic bicyclist and enjoys bicycle touring in the United States.
