Patrick Barth leads LNE Group’s European Public Affairs Practice. In this role, Patrick is responsible for designing and implementing pan-European government advocacy strategies aimed at furthering the strategic interests of the firm’s clients. Patrick also supports clients in securing government funding to support the development and deployment of new technologies in Europe.

Before joining LNE Group, Patrick worked as an EU Public Affairs consultant for a large communications consultancy in Brussels. In this capacity, Patrick advised international clients on a range of European and national regulatory affairs, mainly in the fields of industrial, energy, and transport policy.

Patrick graduated from the University of Bath (UK) in 2010 with a first class degree in Political Science. He is fluent in English and German and can communicate in both Spanish and French. He is currently learning Catalan at Instituto Cervantes in Berlin.

In his spare time, Patrick advises a number of Berlin smart-city/transport focused start-ups on how to establish, grow, and operate a successful business. He is a passionate rugby supporter, keen amateur cyclist, and has recently started Crossfit. Patrick supports several science-driven animal rights groups who seek to promote non-animal toxicity testing solutions.
